StellarTrack — Privacy Policy
StellarTrack does not collect any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Everything the app measures stays on your device.
What the app accesses, and why
Location
The app asks for your location while in use so it can calculate the direction (azimuth) and height above the horizon (elevation) of each satellite from where you are — this is the core of what the app does. Your location is used entirely on your device and is never transmitted, stored on a server, or shared with anyone.
Camera
The camera provides the live view that satellite markers are drawn on top of, so you can point your phone (or an antenna) at the right part of the sky. The app does not record, save, or transmit any photos or video. Nothing from the camera leaves your device.
Motion and orientation
Device motion sensors are used to keep the satellite markers aligned with the real sky as you move your phone. This data is used on-device in real time and is not stored or transmitted.
App settings
Your preferences — display language, Starry Sky mode, and background blur — are saved locally on your device using the system's standard settings storage. They are not synced or uploaded.
Network connections
The app makes exactly one kind of outbound request: it downloads public satellite orbital elements (TLE data) from CelesTrak, identified only by each satellite's public NORAD catalog number. This request contains no personal information and no location data. The results are cached on your device for about four hours to minimise network use.
As with any network request, CelesTrak's own servers may log the IP address making the request, as is standard for any website. StellarTrack has no access to and no control over those logs.
Third-party components
The app includes one open-source library, SatelliteKit (MIT licence), which performs orbital mathematics locally. It does not connect to the network or collect data. The app contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a revised date above.

应用只发起一种对外请求：从 CelesTrak 下载公开的卫星轨道根数（TLE 数据），请求中仅包含各卫星公开的 NORAD 编号。该请求不含任何个人信息，也不含位置数据。结果会在设备上缓存约四小时以减少网络请求。
与访问任何网站一样，CelesTrak 的服务器可能会记录发起请求的 IP 地址。星轨无法访问也无法控制这些日志。
第三方组件
